Rain- A Misery for Me
Ah! Rain! How can a season be both irritating and useful?
In a country like India, with a vast population of one hundred and thirty crore, where people don't regret missing out cleanliness, we are proud to present our major season as monsoon.
The population and extreme global warming has not only led to the destruction of crops by over irrigating the lands, but also affected the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
I never liked the rains, it always caused me trouble. I can't step out on the sticky, moist and dirty roads, nor can I open the windows and let the breeze come in (unless I want to get wet).
Every single sport, except swimming, is delayed or stopped in monsoon. I can bet that if you step out while it's raining, you'll return soaked in mud, no matter how hard you try to prevent it! Sports like football or hockey which are bound to play while it's raining, can't be played on a barren land or cement roads unless you want to slip and fall hard onto the ground. Moreover, when the whole world is now glued to their gadgets attending some kind of online meeting, if we don't get time to shift our bloodshot eyes from the screen, they'll dry up and pop out! Nevertheless, there are other full body exercises like yoga, that can be easily done at home. So I should probably stop bickering about the matter. It's after all, not entirely in my hands!
We can never stop the clouds from raining. Farmers and the agricultural sector, wholly depend on the rain. If it stops, their crops will damage, in turn affecting us.
What we can do, is prevent it's unpredictable nature. Reduction of the pollution will lessen the excessive rains. This will ensure the steady flow of monsoon and it will end in the correct month, instead of stretching on till November!
Everything on the earth is ultimately interconnected. There is an end to everything. Hopefully, even the pandemic will pass by.
